Data Engineer

Job title: Data Engineer Location: Telford (Hybrid) Contract: 6 Months Rate: £483 per day IR35: Inside IR35 Sector: Public Sector Overview We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support a major Public Sector data transformation programme. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining data integration pipelines, supporting large-scale data migrations, and delivering reliable, high-quality data solutions within an Agile environment. Key Skills & Experience

• Strong experience building and managing ETL pipelines using SAS Data Integration, Pentaho, or Talend.
• Hands-on experience with SAS 9.4 and SAS Viya (3.x/4).
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and data scripting.
• Experience working with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of data modelling, performance tuning, and data migration.
• Experience working within Agile and DevOps delivery environments. Desirable
• SAS certifications.
• AWS Data Engineering certification.
• Experience with data virtualisation tools such as Denodo.
• Previous Public Sector experience. Candidate Profile The successful candidate will be a proactive and technically strong Data Engineer with experience delivering enterprise-scale data solutions, working effectively with stakeholders, and supporting complex transformation programmes.
