HGV Driver

Role Overview: We seek a Class 1 HGV Driver/Shunter to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of pharmaceutical products from our Derby distribution centre. You will support on-site shunting operations and deliver goods while maintaining high safety and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver goods safely, efficiently, and on time, providing excellent customer service.
• Perform on-site shunting to facilitate smooth distribution centre operations.
• Communicate regularly with the Transport Office about operational issues or delays.
• Accurately complete all transport documentation, including proof of delivery.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks, ensuring vehicles are roadworthy, clean, and compliant.
• Secure loads properly and adhere to legal and company regulations during transport.
• Follow all traffic laws, driver regulations, and safety policies.
• Report incidents, vehicle defects, safety concerns, or temperature excursions immediately.
• Maintain professionalism, safety, and compliance at all times. Qualifications & Skills
• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence and Driver CPC Qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card holder.
• Understanding of driver hours and transport legislation.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Safety-first approach and commitment to compliance.
• Previous Class 1 driving or shunting experience is desirable.
