Job Title AI Engineer Intern (3 months) - Starting Summer 2027 Project Title: Development of physics-informed neural operators for coupled thermal, hydraulic and mechanical processes in subsurface energy systems. • Pressure evolution Temperature evolution
• Stress and deformation Mineral dissolution and precipitation
• Porosity and permeability changes
• Injectivity and productivity impacts for CCS and geothermal reservoirs without requiring repeated full THMC simulations. Responsibilities & Deliverables
• Understand the Existing Workflow and improve when needed (include geochemistry, improve speed of training, etc.)
• Build initial ML models (CNN, FNO, GNN, etc.)
• Evaluate accuracy and inference speed
• Connect with other software platforms
• Benchmark report
• App for building surrogate models Qualifications
• Studying or completed Bachelors in Data Science, Computer science or a related discipline
