Job Title - Sample & Logistics Assistant

Salary - Dependant on experience

Location - Chelsea

Hours - Monday to Friday - 9.30am to 5.30am

The Role

An established, design-led business is seeking a Sample Department Assistant to support the smooth day-to-day running of a busy showroom environment. This is a hands-on role requiring strong organisation skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach. You will play a vital role in supporting the sales team, managing samples, and maintaining exceptional showroom standards.

Key Responsibilities

Sample Department (50%)

• Preparing, cutting, and labelling carpet and rug samples
• Maintaining and organising the sample library
• Fulfilling internal and client sample requests accurately and promptly
• Restocking and updating sample displays
• Assisting with quality checks on incoming sample stock

Logistics (50%)

• Assisting with obtaining quotes for Account Managers
• Chasing orders, delivery dates and updating schedules
• Checking stock and assisting with processing orders
• Coordinating with couriers and transport providers on deliveries/collections
• Administrative tasks, checking invoices and costs are correct and approved by Account Managers
• Working closely with the Finance Team to ensure payments are processed in a timely manner
• Ensuring inventory held in the showroom and warehouse is recorded accurately

Candidate Profile

• Well organised with good attention to detail

• Comfortable with physical tasks (lifting, moving stock/samples)

• Able to manage competing priorities across two departments

• Team player with clear communication skills

• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or retail/sample environment is an advantage but not essential
