About the job

About Dambuster Studios Senior Tools Programmer Dambuster Studios - creators of the number one BAFTA-nominated smash hit Dead Island 2 - has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Tools Programmer to join our highly talented Infrastructure team. Role Overview As a Senior Tools Programmer, you'll play a key role in shaping how content gets made across the studio. Working at the intersection of engineering and our content teams, you'll build and evolve the tools, pipelines and workflows that allow artists, designers and other developers to work effectively and turn ideas into game-ready content. You'll work directly with the people using our technology, understand where development is slow, awkward or unnecessarily complex, and turn those problems into robust, intuitive solutions. Sometimes that means solving an immediate production challenge; at other times it means recognising a recurring problem and designing a better way for the studio to work. As a senior member of the team, you'll bring both technical expertise and judgement: helping shape our tools strategy, influencing how problems are approached, raising engineering standards and supporting the growth of other programmers. If you enjoy seeing the direct effect of your work on the people around you and like the challenge of making complex technology feel simple to the people using it this is an opportunity to have a significant influence on how we build our games.
