Finance Manager

Finance Manager Fully Remote (with occasional travel to London and Surrey, you must be residing in the UK for this position) Up to £40,000 (based on experience) With continued growth in 2026, a Venture Capital Fund is now looking to bring in their first dedicated in‑house Accountant. This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced, hands‑on accountant who thrives in a varied, fast‑moving environment. No two days look the same, the VC portfolio companies often need accounting support as the wider Group continues to expand. About the Role Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll take ownership of the day‑to‑day finance operations across the Group. Duties will include:

• Bank reconciliations
• Monthly intercompany reconciliations
• Processing supplier invoices
• Supplier statement reconciliations and chasing missing invoices
• Supplier verification checks for new vendors
• Managing invoice approvals and preparing supplier payments
• Monitoring and actioning requests from the accounting inbox
• Monthly intra‑group and external invoicing, plus debtor chasing
• Managing Group cashflow forecasts
• Completing month‑end close for multiple entities
• Supporting VAT returns, statutory accounts and corporation tax filings This is a fully remote, full‑time role. You'll need to demonstrate independence, initiative, and the ability to manage deadlines across a busy month‑end cycle. About you:
• Xero expertise (essential)
• Proven success working fully remotely (essential) and based in the UK full time
• Strong experience with intercompany and complex accounting transactions
• Background in fund accounting (highly desirable)
• Experience working with HNW individuals (desirable)
• Experience in a busy, multi‑entity finance function
