Solutions Architect

Lead Solutions Architect | AWS, GDS, Kubernetes | Remote, £90k–£120k I'm currently supporting a specialist technology consultancy delivering modern digital solutions across Central Government. They're looking for an experienced Lead Solutions Architect to join a multidisciplinary architecture team, working across complex public sector programmes and helping shape secure, scalable cloud solutions. The role:

• Design and shape modern cloud architectures across Central Government projects
• Work with AWS and other cloud technologies
• Apply GDS principles and frameworks throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Work alongside architects, developers and wider technical teams
• Contribute to architectural decisions across complex software solutions
• Use your knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker where required
• Work across Java, JavaScript and Python-based environments
• Help define technical approaches through architecture and scenario-based design What we're looking for:
• Strong commercial experience as a Solutions / Cloud Architect
• Proven experience working with the GDS framework
• Strong cloud architecture experience, ideally AWS
• Hands-on understanding of Kubernetes and Docker
• Good technical knowledge across Java, JavaScript and/or Python
• Strong ability to explain your approach to architecture and technical decision-making
