Senior Estates Engineer St Albans, Hertfordshire | Permanent The Opportunity A leading global organization is seeking a Senior Estates Engineer to support the operation and maintenance of critical utilities, building services and infrastructure across a highly regulated manufacturing and research environment. Reporting to the Operations Engineering Manager, you'll lead engineering activities across HVAC, utilities and site infrastructure, ensuring compliance, reliability and operational excellence while supervising engineers and specialist contractors. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate planned, reactive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Act as the technical lead for HVAC and critical utilities infrastructure.
• Optimise BMS and control systems to improve performance and energy efficiency.
• Support fault finding, root cause analysis and technical problem-solving.
• Manage contractors and oversee engineering projects and shutdown activities.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with GMP, health & safety and regulatory requirements.
• Review maintenance procedures, permits and engineering documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering function.
• Participate in the on-call rota (1 week in 6). About You
• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification (HNC, ONC, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Experience leading engineering teams within a pharmaceutical, GMP or highly regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, utilities, building services and maintenance best practice.
• Experience using CMMS systems such as Maximo.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment. Why Apply?
