We're looking for a proactive and hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of maintenance activities across a diverse production environment, working on everything from traditional machine tools to modern automated manufacturing equipment. Beyond maintenance, you'll play a key role in site improvement projects and the mechanical assembly of bespoke machinery, giving you exposure to a varied and rewarding workload. Mechanical Maintenance Engineer What You'll Be Doing

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across a wide range of manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.
• Taking ownership of the site's maintenance schedule and helping develop a robust preventative maintenance strategy.
• Supporting the build, assembly, installation, and commissioning of bespoke machinery.
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement to improve safety, reliability, and operational performance.
• Working closely with production and engineering teams to ensure equipment remains reliable and efficient. Mechanical Maintenance Engineer What We're Looking For
• Strong mechanical maintenance experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Practical experience maintaining machine tools such as lathes, mills, grinders, or similar production equipment.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently.
• Time-served apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent mechanical engineering qualification. Why Apply?
