Lecturer Mechanical Engineering

Hours: 34 hours per week

Contract: Temporary

Duration: 2nd November 2026 to 18th December 2026

Reed Further Education are currently recruiting for an experienced Teacher of Mechanical Engineering to join a leading education provider on a temporary basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Mechanical Engineering professional with teaching experience to deliver engaging lessons to Level 3 learners and support them in achieving their qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Mechanical Engineering lessons to Level 3 learners
• Teach some Mathematics as part of the curriculum
• Mark and assess learner work
• Provide constructive feedback and support learner progress
• Maintain accurate learner records and contribute to quality processes
• Deliver engaging and inclusive learning sessions

Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
• Assessor qualification (A1, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent)
• Previous teaching, training or lecturing experience within Mechanical Engineering
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to motivate and support learners to achieve their potential
• Enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one
