Support Analyst - SAP

SAP SUPPORT ANALYST, SC SECURITY CLEARANCE, £450 OUTSIDE IR35, HOME BASED

My client, a leader in the public sector, is seeking an experienced SAP Support Analyst with an active SC clearance to support a major SAP transformation programme.

Welsh Government currently operates SAP ECC Finance on-premises and is considering migration via SAP RISE to SAP S/4HANA as the preferred strategic direction. The successful candidate will support the migration of SAP ECC Finance to SAP S/4HANA, helping to reduce technology risk, maintain vendor support and create a foundation for future ERP transformation.

As a member of the programme team, you will act as a key technical and functional contributor to SAP transformation initiatives, supporting project delivery, business readiness, testing, migration planning, cutover activities and post-implementation support. Working closely with business users, project teams, technical specialists and third-party suppliers, you will help ensure the successful delivery of the SAP S/4HANA migration programme.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a key operational representative within the SAP S/4HANA migration programme.

• Support project teams in assessing the impact of migration activities across ECC, FICO and SRM business processes.

• Contribute to application readiness assessments, system testing, data validation and business process reviews.

• Support migration, cutover and hypercare activities to ensure a smooth transition to SAP S/4HANA.

• Assist in identifying and resolving application issues arising from migration and transformation activities.

• Provide operational expertise during project design workshops, change reviews and implementation planning.

• Support business readiness, user adoption and transition into live service following implementation activities.

• Participate in SAP project activities from planning through to implementation and transition into service.

• Support business requirement gathering, solution validation, testing and deployment activities.

• Work collaboratively with project managers, business analysts, architects and solution partners.

Essential Experience:

• Experience supporting SAP environments and business applications.

• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA projects, migrations or transformation programmes.

• Experience with testing, data validation, business readiness and deployment activities.

• Experience supporting migration, cutover and hypercare phases.

• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

• Experience working with both business and technical teams.
