Temporary Catering Assistant

Temporary Catering Assistant required to support a corporate business in Ipswich Town centre.

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Catering & Events Assistant to support the delivery of high quality catering services for client meetings, hospitality functions, and marketing events. This is a hands on role requiring excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of presentation, service, and food hygiene.

• Immediate start
• Duration: 2 months initially, potential to extend
• Pay rate: £14.00 per hour
• Hours: Monday - Friday - 8am -3:30pm

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high quality catering and hospitality services for client meetings, business functions, and marketing events.
• Prepare, present, and serve refreshments, meals, and catering provisions to a professional standard.
• Maintain kitchen, food preparation areas, and catering equipment at all times.
• Adhere to all food safety, health and safety, and hygiene regulations, ensuring compliance with national food hygiene standards.
• Assist with the delivery and coordination of hospitality services for internal and external events.
• Ensure a professional and welcoming experience for clients, visitors, and colleagues.

Essential:

• Previous experience in catering, hospitality, events, or customer service environments.
• Food Hygiene Certificate
• Experience supporting corporate hospitality or client-facing events.
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in catering is desirable but not essential.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
