• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - approximately 3:00 PM
• Start Date: Monday, 12th
• Hourly Rate: £13 - £14

We are urgently seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our team in a Further Education setting in East Sussex. This role requires an immediate start, ideally by Monday, 12th. The position is ongoing and likely to extend at least until the half term.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals within the campus kitchen.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen area to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Support the kitchen staff with various tasks including washing up, storing food, and managing kitchen supplies.
• Help in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring all supplies are accounted for and stored properly.
• Interact with students and staff in a friendly and professional manner, enhancing the dining experience.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Must hold an enhanced DBS on the update service.
• Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is highly desirable.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable working in an educational environment.
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain calm in a busy setting.
• Knowledge of hygiene and safety regulations in a kitchen.
