Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Location: Sheffield Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: £37,500-£38,500 DOE Industry: Metals The Role As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, servicing, fault finding and repair of a wide range of industrial plant and equipment across our UK operations. You will work as part of a proactive maintenance team, ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime and maintaining a safe working environment. Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on industrial plant and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults efficiently.
• Install, service and overhaul mechanical equipment.
• Assist with equipment improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
• Travel to other UK sites when required. Requirements
• Significant experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial environment.
• Strong welding and fabrication skills.
• Experience working with hydraulic systems.
• Experience maintaining heavy industrial equipment
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence. Package Details
• Hours: Monday to Friday Week 1: 07:30 – 16:30 (42.5 hours) Week 2: 07:00 – 16:00 (42.5 hours)
