Digital Content Assistant
at Hobby FCDo you love collecting football memorabilia? ⚽️ And refuse to shut up about it? 😅 Well then... Hobby FC is the place for you! What is Hobby FC? An online community designed to bring football fans into the world of collecting. What is our goal? In a world where niches are being taken up each day, we believe there's still a need to fill in the football memorabilia space. So, we have created Hobby FC with the aim of being the single, definitive place for collectors from all over the world to learn, collect and grow their 'collections'. 🥰 To achieve this goal, we are on the hunt to pool together a team of creators to expand our users' knowledge and understanding of this space. But with that growing by the day, we are now looking for a bright social media person to come in and elevate the brand as we continue to build. What do we talk about? This space is growing by the day, and there's no real limit to what we can create content about! We want Hobby FC to be a hub for all types of fans - from the very experienced to the complete novice. Some popular topics include: Trading Cards 🃏, Football Shirts 👕, Football Books, Magazines and Programmes 📖, Nostalgic Games 🕹, TV & Media 🍿 Travel Guides ✈️ and much more! Here are some of Content Ideas we want to make:
- 'POV' style videos at football stadiums
- Food review videos outside stadiums
- Travelling / 'Vlog' content going to games
- Game capture of classic football games e.g. Adriano on PES 6
- Game capture of football game challenges e.g. goal recreations
- Street Interview content with fellow fans and collectors We're definitely open to ideas that you can bring to life too - the more the merrier! And now for the boring stuff... Responsibilities:
- Source and work with creators to help us post more video content
- Create occasional video-first content to go on our social media channels.
- Mainly focusing on growing our: Facebook, Linkedin & Twitter / X pages.
- Help to share article links and divert social media impressions to site traffic.
- Engage with the football collecting community to discover needs and wants.
- Research target audience and discover current trends to incorporate in the content. Requirements:
- Honestly, nothing. 🤷🏽♂️
- Just a love of football memorabilia and a desire to share it with the world.
- A strong command of the Adobe Creative Suite or other video editing software is ideal. What will I get in return? The reason there is no minimum requirement to produce a set number of videos per week (as an example), is because this is a voluntary / unpaid position. Hobby FC is a new idea and will take time to make any real, discernible revenue. All improvements are bankrolled by the founder, who is happy to provide a reference for any future roles for writers, and will also share in any revenue made from ads or affiliates if and when that happens. With this being said, I will be transparent about business and partnerships which come in, and should this role directly link toward income for the business, I will compensate this person properly for their involvement in this e.g. attracting a partnership, direct ad revenue from content or affiliates. I'll also be able to cover reasonable expenses for either travel or content purposes. As a creator myself (with 2.1m followers across different platforms), I'll make sure I share all work created here on the channels with full credit to the creator also, and share in any revenue gained by Hobby FC. With this in mind, this role would best suit either: a) a working professional with a stable income in another area, who can write on the side, or b) a budding creator looking for experience in the industry to build their portfolio. If this sounds like you, then what are you waiting for? Apply Now! ✍🏼
