About the job

Account Manager Company: MDSG (Marketing Distribution Services Group) Location: London / Hybrid Salary: £30,000–£40,000, depending on experience The role This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who loves bringing campaigns together and wants to build their experience working across international tourism and travel accounts. You'll work closely with clients and the wider MDSG team to help develop and manage integrated marketing campaigns from initial brief and planning through to launch, optimisation and reporting. One day you might be coordinating an international advertising campaign; the next you could be briefing creative, working with a media publisher on a content partnership, reviewing campaign performance, preparing a client presentation or helping deliver a brand activation. You'll be an important day-to-day contact for clients, helping keep projects moving, ensuring deadlines are met, budgets are managed and campaigns are delivered to a high standard. There's plenty of opportunity to bring your own ideas, take ownership and develop within the role. As your experience grows, you'll have the chance to take greater responsibility for key accounts, campaigns and client relationships. What you'll be doing

  • Managing day-to-day relationships across a portfolio of tourism and destination clients
  • Helping develop and project-manage integrated advertising and marketing campaigns
  • Turning client briefs into clear plans, timelines and internal actions
  • Working closely with our media, creative, social, PR, content and partnerships teams
  • Coordinating campaigns across digital, social, video, audio, TV, OOH, print and content
  • Working with publishers, media owners and external partners
  • Briefing creative and content teams and coordinating client feedback and approvals
  • Managing campaign budgets, supplier costs and reconciliations
  • Building presentations, proposals, briefs, status documents and client updates
  • Running client calls and meetings, and making sure actions are followed through
  • Reviewing campaign performance and helping prepare reports, analysis and recommendations
  • Bringing forward ideas and opportunities that could strengthen our client accounts
  • Supporting pitches, proposals and new business opportunities
  • Representing MDSG at relevant travel industry and trade events
  • Working with our wider international team and network of partners As the role develops, there will be opportunities to take greater ownership of key accounts and campaigns, as well as support more junior members of the team. The role may involve occasional travel within the UK and internationally. About you We're looking for someone organised, proactive and commercially minded who enjoys working with clients, managing campaigns and making things happen. You don't need to have done everything on the list below already. We're equally interested in people who have a strong agency foundation and are ready to take the next step in their career. Ideally, you'll have:
  • Experience working within an advertising, media, marketing or integrated agency
  • Experience managing client relationships and day-to-day account activity
  • Strong organisational and project-management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow things through
  • Experience working across integrated campaigns
  • A good understanding of traditional and digital media channels
  • Some experience managing budgets and working with suppliers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence preparing client presentations and materials
  • An interest in campaign performance and using results to inform future activity
  • A creative and commercial mindset
  • The ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and stakeholders
  • A collaborative attitude and willingness to get stuck in
  • The confidence to contribute ideas and challenge thinking when appropriate Agency experience is important. Experience working with tourism boards, destinations, airlines, hotels or other travel brands would be a bonus, but it's not essential if you have strong agency experience and a genuine interest in travel. Why MDSG? You'll be joining a passionate, entrepreneurial team working on exciting international campaigns for destinations and travel brands around the world. We're not a huge agency with layers of hierarchy. You'll work directly with senior members of the business, our clients and specialist teams, giving you exposure to different parts of the marketing mix and plenty of opportunity to develop. We want people to contribute ideas rather than simply manage a process, and you'll have the chance to get involved in everything from international advertising campaigns and content partnerships to brand activations, influencer projects and new business pitches. MDSG has been named Agency of the Year twice at the Travel Marketing Awards , and most recently picked up four awards at the 2026 Travel Marketing Awards for our work across international tourism campaigns. We're looking for someone enthusiastic, reliable, good with people and keen to become an important part of a growing agency.
