About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Web Developer (PHP) to join our dynamic team remotely. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the TW Group's e-commerce platforms and web estate. This role requires a proactive individual who can take ownership of complex projects, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and deliver scalable, high-quality solutions. As a senior member of the development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative web applications, optimizing existing systems, and ensuring seamless integrations with third-party services and internal platforms. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the ongoing evolution of our digital presence, ensuring it remains robust, secure, and aligned with industry best practices. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess over five years of professional experience in PHP development, with a proven track record of delivering production-grade web applications. Strong proficiency in modern PHP (including OOP principles) and experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony are essential. Candidates should have solid front-end development skills using JavaScript and TypeScript, with familiarity in modern frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular. A deep understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles is required. Experience with RESTful API development and consumption, database design with MySQL, and familiarity with version control systems such as Git are also necessary. Additional skills in DevOps practices, containerization with Docker, and knowledge of CI/CD pipelines will be advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to work. Prior experience mentoring junior developers and working in agile environments is highly valued. Responsibilities The Senior Full Stack Web Developer will be responsible for a broad range of technical tasks, including taking ownership of web development projects from conception through deployment and ongoing support. Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable full-stack applications, e-commerce solutions, and custom websites that meet business requirements. The role involves supporting and continuously improving existing platforms by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and production incidents. You will develop and maintain integrations between internal systems and third-party services using RESTful APIs, ensuring data consistency and security. Contributing to technical architecture and solution design, adhering to best practices in security, coding standards, and design patterns, is a core aspect of the role. Reviewing and refactoring existing codebases to reduce technical debt, improve performance, and enhance maintainability is also expected. The role requires close collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business needs into effective technical solutions. You will support and promote development standards, source control, code reviews, and deployment practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
