We are seeking a Cover Supervisor to join a busy secondary school in Hackney. This role is ideal for someone with prior experience in a similar position within UK secondary schools, who is capable of managing classroom activities and ensuring students remain on task with pre-set work.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Supervise classes in the absence of the teacher.
• Ensure the classroom environment remains safe and conducive to learning.
• Assist students with their work as set by the teacher.
• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students engage with the tasks at hand.
• Maintain classroom resources and records.
• Communicate effectively with teachers and staff to relay any important information regarding classes covered.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Cover Supervisor in UK secondary schools.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• High level of responsibility and reliability.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
• Patience and respect for diversity in educational settings.
• DBS on the Update Service
