Software Engineering Manager

Head of Engineering | North West | Hybrid We are looking for a Head of Engineering to lead the software engineering team at an established, growing UK business. You will own delivery across the core platform, set technical standards, and manage a small in-house team of engineers. This is a hands-on leadership role, not a pure people-management seat. You will report into the technology leadership team and work closely with product, operations and the wider business. What you will do:

• Lead and develop the engineering team
• Own architecture and delivery on a Microsoft stack (C# / .NET, Azure, SQL)
• Set engineering standards, ways of working and delivery quality
• Partner with product and operational stakeholders to turn business priorities into shipped work
• Balance building new capability with keeping existing systems stable and secure What you will bring:
• Proven experience leading engineering teams
• Strong Microsoft / Azure background, with enough technical depth to review design and unblock delivery
• A track record of improving delivery without a large team or a big transformation budget
• Clear communication with non-technical stakeholders Hybrid, North West.
