SR2

Junior Full Stack Developer | Tech for Good | Remote £28,000 – £30,000 | 6-Month Internship | Potential Permanent Opportunity Want to kick-start your career in software development while building technology that actually makes a difference? SR2 are working with an exciting tech-for-good company that's looking for two Junior Full Stack Developers to join their engineering team on a 6-month fixed-term internship, with the potential to secure a permanent position afterwards! This isn't an internship where you'll just be watching from the sidelines. You'll be getting stuck into real development work, contributing to exciting existing features and learning from an experienced team of developers who will be there to mentor and support you along the way. The company is doing some really interesting work around using AI in a meaningful, human-centred way, so it's a brilliant opportunity to gain hands-on experience with modern technology while working on something with a genuine purpose. What you'll be doing:

  • Building and developing real features across the full stack
  • Working with Node.js, TypeScript and React
  • Gaining exposure to Azure and cloud-based technologies
  • Learning from experienced developers through ongoing mentorship and support
  • Getting involved in exciting projects and contributing your own ideas What we're looking for:
  • Some practical coding experience, whether that's through university, personal projects, a bootcamp or previous employment
  • Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, ideally with some exposure to Node.js and React
  • A genuine interest in full stack development and emerging technologies
  • Someone curious, enthusiastic and keen to learn
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to get stuck in! What's in it for you?
  • £28,000–£30,000 salary (per annum, pro rata)
  • Fully remote working, ideally based in the South West
  • A 6-month internship with the potential to become a permanent, full-time role
  • Real commercial development experience working on live features
  • Mentorship from an established development team
  • The opportunity to work with modern technologies, including AI and Azure
  • The chance to build technology that makes a positive difference You don't need years of commercial experience, but you do need to have some practical coding experience and be excited about developing your skills. If you're a graduate, junior developer or self-taught coder looking for that first real opportunity to get your foot in the door, this could be a brilliant next step.
