Senior Data Scientist – Applied AI Location: London | Working Model: Hybrid (2 days per week in-office) Salary: £70,000–£85,000 + benefits Employment: Permanent We're partnering with a leading global entertainment and gaming organisation investing heavily in its Data & AI capabilities. This is a hands on Applied AI role combining Data Science, Generative AI and AI engineering. You'll build practical AI solutions while championing adoption across the business, identifying opportunities, developing prototypes and delivering production ready applications. With significant investment in Databricks, you'll explore technologies including Genie, AI agents, Model Serving, AI Gateway and Vector Search. Key Responsibilities

• Identify business opportunities for AI and Machine Learning.
• Build AI agents, LLM applications, RAG solutions and PoC's.
• Champion AI adoption through workshops, demonstrations and knowledge sharing.
• Leverage Databricks AI capabilities, including MLflow and Vector Search.
• Collaborate with data and technology teams to integrate AI solutions.
• Translate technical concepts into tangible business value.
• Support AI governance, evaluation, architecture and responsible adoption.
• Progress successful prototypes into scalable, production-ready solutions. Essential Skills & Experience
• Commercial experience building AI, ML or data-driven applications.
• Strong Python skills and good SQL knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, Generative AI and AI agents.
• Understanding of RAG, embeddings, vector search and LLM architectures.
• Experience developing AI solutions from concept to prototype.
• Experience with Databricks or another modern cloud Data & AI platform.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to identify business challenges and translate them into technical solutions. Desirable Experience Databricks Genie, Mosaic AI, AI Gateway, Model Serving, MLflow, Vector Search, agentic AI, LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, LlamaIndex, MCP, PySpark, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP), and traditional Machine Learning. The Ideal Candidate You'll combine hands-on technical ability with curiosity, creativity and strong communication skills. You enjoy experimenting with emerging AI technologies, engaging non-technical stakeholders and demonstrating how AI can solve real business problems.
