About the job
Office IT Support Technician | macOS, Google Workspace, MDM | Android-First Mobile Tech Scale-Up in East London
- Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 + discretionary bonus
- Location: East London office, 4 days a week I'm working with an Android-first mobile tech scale-up in East London who need an Office IT Support Technician to be the go-to person for IT in their London office. You'll look after laptops, docks, monitors, printers, Wi-Fi and the meeting room AV, and you'll run onboarding and offboarding for new starters, which mostly lands on Mondays as the business keeps hiring. You'll sit in the CloudOps team and work day to day alongside their IT Automation Engineer. The hiring manager is clear that personality matters here: they want someone friendly and proactive, who notices when something is about to go wrong and fixes it before anyone has to ask twice. What They're Looking For (Non-Negotiables)
- IT support or service desk: hands-on experience, or a relevant qualification
- End-user device troubleshooting across laptops and mobiles
- Office tech: Wi-Fi, meeting room AV, printers, docking stations
- Google Workspace administration
- Communication: explaining tech simply to non-technical colleagues
- Organisation: juggling competing requests and following through
- Commutable to East London 4 days a week What You'll Work With
- Mobile Device Management (MDM): Iru, formerly Kandji
- UniFi office networking
- Mimecast email security
- Android device lab: a couple of hundred test devices
- Asset register and hardware inventory
- IT knowledge base: documenting common fixes as you go Nice to Haves
- macOS: a strong plus
- Scripting: Bash, Python or similar
- Linux command line
- Jamf or Google Endpoint Management
- Ticketing / ITSM tools
- SaaS administration and access management
- Cloud: AWS or GCP Why Join / Projects
- You'll be the person the whole London office relies on for IT, which means a lot of ownership and visibility early in your career.
- You'll have a clear path into IT automation or CloudOps. In their words, they want someone who will outgrow the reactive parts of this role and help automate them away.
- You'll pick up scripting and tooling from the IT Automation Engineer you work alongside every day.
- An office move is coming up, so you'll get stuck into the AV, cabling and kit on a proper project.
- You'll also support colleagues in the EU and US remotely, working with local ops on hardware and onboarding. The process includes a short Linux and scripting task, so some comfort at the command line will help, even if it isn't part of your day job yet. Employee Benefits
- Discretionary bonus
- Up to 8% employer pension
- Bupa private healthcare, including private GP and virtual appointments
- WellHub (GymPass) Gold: gym, classes and wellness apps
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Personal learning budget for training, courses and conferences
- Cycle to work scheme
- Snacks, Wednesday breakfast and fortnightly haircuts in the office
- Regular socials, sports and annual international offsites Apply here or drop me a message and I'll give you a buzz to talk it through. Office IT Support Technician | macOS, Google Workspace, MDM | Android-First Mobile Tech Scale-Up in East London
