Procurement Manager – AI Infrastructure & Data Centres Location: UK Our client is an AI infrastructure business seeking a Procurement Manager to support the sourcing and purchasing of equipment and services for its infrastructure deployments. This is a hands-on procurement role, focused on strategic sourcing, supplier selection, commercial negotiation and purchasing execution. You will work closely with engineering, project delivery and finance teams to ensure procurement decisions meet technical requirements, budgets and deployment timelines. The role

  • Manage the procurement process from requirements gathering and supplier identification through to tendering, negotiation, contract award and purchase orders.
  • Source equipment and services across compute, networking and data centre infrastructure, working with technical teams to define specifications.
  • Run RFIs, RFPs and RFQs, evaluating suppliers on cost, quality, lead times, capability and commercial terms.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, warranties and contractual commitments with OEMs, distributors and service providers.
  • Build supplier relationships and manage performance against agreed delivery schedules and contractual obligations.
  • Align procurement activity with project milestones, identifying long-lead items and escalating supply risks early.
  • Track purchasing commitments, cost savings and supplier performance, providing clear reporting to internal stakeholders.
  • Strengthen procurement processes, approval controls and supplier onboarding as the business grows. What we're looking for
  • Experience in a Procurement Manager, Sourcing Manager or Senior Buyer role within AI infrastructure, cloud, data centres, technology or a related technical environment.
  • A track record of running competitive sourcing processes and negotiating equipment or services contracts.
  • Experience purchasing IT hardware, servers, networking equipment or data centre infrastructure.
  • Strong commercial judgement, including the ability to assess total cost of ownership and balance price with delivery certainty.
  • Confidence working with technical stakeholders and translating project requirements into procurement activity.
  • The ability to manage multiple purchasing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • A practical approach, with willingness to own both sourcing strategy and day-to-day procurement execution. Experience with GPU infrastructure, OEM relationships or international procurement would be advantageous. CIPS qualifications are welcomed but are not essential where supported by relevant experience.
