Senior Data Architect - Azure + Databricks - First

Senior Data Architect | Azure, Databricks & Lakehouse | £125k + Bonus OB are currently partnered with a technology consultancy delivering a greenfield enterprise data platform for a UK sustainability organisation. The project is secured, and they're looking for experienced architects to lead design and implementation. The challenge:

• Own the end-to-end architecture of a new cloud data platform.
• Design a scalable Databricks-based lakehouse on Azure.
• Establish data governance, modelling standards and architectural best practices.
• Whiteboard solutions with clients and guide engineering teams through delivery.
• Help establish the data foundation for a future AI and agentic capability. You'll bring:
• Strong Azure and Databricks expertise, ideally with previous greenfield platform delivery.
• The ability to turn business requirements into practical architecture.
• Confidence leading client discussions and making key technical decisions.
• A delivery mindset, from initial design through to implementation. Package: £125k base + bonus, stock options, matched pension and private healthcare. Location: Fully remote, with occasional UK client travel.
