Project Engineer

We are working with a growing civil engineering contractor in London specialising in structures, groundworks and reinforced concrete (RC). They are looking to recruit an experienced Project Engineer to support the delivery of civil engineering projects, ensuring works are completed safely, to specification and in line with programme requirements. About the Role This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Engineer looking to develop their career within a busy contractor delivering a range of structural and civil engineering packages. Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day engineering and technical delivery of projects.
• Oversee setting out, site measurements, levels and dimensional control.
• Ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Coordinate with site managers, subcontractors, consultants and the wider project team.
• Review construction drawings, identify technical issues and raise RFIs where required.
• Monitor quality control, inspections, testing and relevant site documentation.
• Assist with project planning, progress reporting and coordination of site activities.
• Maintain accurate site records, as-built drawings and quality documentation.
• Support the delivery of groundworks, reinforced concrete, foundations and structural packages.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and project quality standards. Qualifications
• Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• CSCS card and relevant site experience. Required Skills
• Previous experience as a Project Engineer within civil engineering or construction.
• Experience working on groundworks, reinforced concrete, structures or substructure packages.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications and engineering principles.
• Experience with setting out equipment and surveying techniques is desirable.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with site teams and subcontractors. Preferred Skills
