Project Manager - Specialist Structural Concrete

URGENT – Project Manager – High Profile Specialist Structural Concrete – Birmingham Linum Consult is urgently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a leading international specialist engineering contractor delivering a technically challenging structural construction project in Birmingham, UK. This is an opportunity to manage the delivery of a high profile, incredibly complex concrete structure, involving specialist construction methodologies, precision engineering, and significant coordination between design, manufacturing, and site operations. THE ROLE The Project Manager will take responsibility for the planning, coordination, and delivery of specialist structural works, including:

• Managing complex precast concrete installation and erection activities
• Coordinating temporary works, lifting operations, and construction sequencing
• Overseeing site operations, subcontractors, and specialist engineering teams
• Liaising with design engineers, precast manufacturers, and project stakeholders
• Ensuring precise dimensional control, alignment, and installation tolerances
• Managing the programme's quality and health & safety standards
• Identifying and resolving technical and construction challenges THE PROFILE
• Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Construction Manager on complex civil engineering or structural engineering projects
• Excellent technical knowledge of precast concrete, segmental construction, or specialist structural erection
• Experience in bridge construction, post-tensioned structures, heavy lifting works, or complex temporary works would be highly advantageous
• Excellent site leadership, subcontractor management, and problem-solving skills
• A practical, hands-on approach to delivering technically demanding projects
