Technical Installation and Training Specialist
at Amaya Sales UKAbout the job
About Amaya Amaya Sales UK is an established business in the growing and exciting world of personalisation, supplying embroidery, digital garment printing and product decoration equipment, consumables and technical support. From branded workwear to personalised clothing and gifts, we help start-ups and established producers turn creative ideas into finished products. What you will do
- Install, set up and commission embroidery machines, DTG and DTF printers, heat presses, dryers and related equipment at customer premises.
- Train customers in equipment operation, relevant software, routine maintenance and safe working practices, adapting your approach to their experience.
- Help customers establish practical production workflows and achieve consistent results.
- Visit customers to diagnose faults and repair embroidery machines when required, alongside general equipment troubleshooting and servicing, with support from the wider technical team where needed.
- Plan and document visits, recording training delivered, parts used and follow-up actions.
- Work closely with our technical, sales and support teams to deliver a professional, well-coordinated customer experience. What you will bring
- A practical technical mindset and a logical approach to solving problems.
- Practical technical aptitude, demonstrated through work, training or hands-on projects. Machinery or production experience is welcome but industry experience is not essential.
- Clear communication skills, patience and the ability to demonstrate tasks and help customers build confidence.
- Confidence using computers, learning equipment, software and following setup and troubleshooting procedures.
- The ability to organise your workload, work independently and maintain accurate records.
- A full driving licence valid for driving in the UK and willingness to travel across the whole of the UK and Southern Ireland. Who this role would suit We would welcome people already working in embroidery, digital printing or personalisation, including production staff, demonstrators, trainers and service technicians. We are equally interested in the right person from another background who has a technical mind, enjoys being with people and is keen to learn. This could suit someone who wants something a little different: practical problem-solving, helping customers build confidence and the opportunity to travel. You'll enjoy variety and be willing to develop the skills needed to install equipment, train users and repair embroidery machines. What we offer
- A full-time position with an attractive salary package and electric company car.
- Varied work across embroidery and digital printing technologies.
- The opportunity to build lasting customer relationships and see the direct results of your work.
- An established team with technical and industry knowledge to draw on.
- Location and applications
- Ideally, you'll be based in the Midlands, although this is a preference rather than a requirement. Applicants must currently be UK-based and able to travel regularly.
- Apply through LinkedIn with your CV and a short introduction outlining your technical aptitude and experience of helping or training others. Include your current town or county.
