Strategy & Transformation Consultant / Manager (Defence & Security) Join a leading consultancy supporting major government and public sector programmes across defence and security. As a Strategy & Transformation Consultant or Manager, you will work closely with senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to shape strategic direction, develop practical solutions and drive meaningful organisational change. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support strategic transformation programmes across defence, security and wider public sector organisations.
• Assess existing business operations, organisational structures and service delivery models to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Conduct research, analyse complex information and develop evidence-based recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Design and facilitate workshops, stakeholder sessions and collaborative activities to establish priorities and build consensus.
• Develop business cases, strategic proposals, presentations and reports that communicate findings and recommendations clearly.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and senior stakeholders, providing insight and guidance throughout project delivery.
• Evaluate strategic options and support investment decisions, operating model development and transformation planning.
• Help organisations adopt digital innovation and emerging technologies to improve efficiency, resilience and service delivery.
• Identify project risks, dependencies and opportunities, ensuring potential issues are addressed proactively. What we are looking for from you:
• Experience in strategy, business transformation, operating model design or a related strategic advisory role.
• Background in consulting or relevant industry experience within defence, security or the wider public sector.
• Demonstrable experience analysing business challenges and developing recommendations to support future strategy.
• Knowledge of target operating models, service design, organisational change and digital transformation.
• Experience delivering complex transformation or operating model projects within UK public sector environments.
• Understanding of both Agile and traditional project delivery methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex issues and develop practical solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings and recommendations to senior audiences.
• Strong project management capabilities, including planning, managing deadlines and taking ownership of individual workstreams.
• Confidence working with ambiguity, changing priorities and complex stakeholder environments. This role offers the opportunity to:
