BuildHer Labs

Company Description BuildHer Labs is a venture studio dedicated to supporting women and non-binary founders at every stage of the entrepreneurial journey, from idea to first build. The organisation helps founders refine their thinking, stress-test business models, and prepare for investor conversations through practical support and structured guidance. With a community of over 2000 members across the UK, US and EU, BuildHer Labs offers weekly deep-work workshops, collaborative community nights, and a safe space for sharing, learning, and building together. Grounded in openness, support, and action, the team partners with accelerators, co-working spaces, and like-minded organisations to create meaningful growth opportunities. Potential applicants will join a mission-driven environment focused on inclusive, founder-first innovation. Role Description The Co-Founder role is a hybrid position based in London, with flexibility to work from home for part of the week. This role involves co-leading the strategic direction of BuildHer Labs, shaping the venture studio's roadmap, and developing initiatives that support women and non-binary founders. Day-to-day responsibilities include engaging with community members, hosting and co-designing workshops and events, building partnerships with ecosystem stakeholders, and identifying promising venture ideas within the community. The Co-Founder will collaborate on fundraising, revenue generation, and operational planning, including refining processes and tools that help founders move from concept to investor-ready ventures. This person will work closely with existing leadership to grow the community, strengthen the brand, and ensure that programs are inclusive, practical, and high-impact. Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills to assess business models, interpret market data, and support founders in validating assumptions.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to facilitate workshops, present to stakeholders, and build trust within a diverse community.
  • Experience in sales, with a track record of building relationships, converting leads, and supporting revenue-generating initiatives.
  • Proficiency in marketing, including brand positioning, community growth, and digital outreach to attract and retain founders.
  • Solid research skills to explore markets, evaluate startup opportunities, and inform strategic decisions.
  • Prior experience as a founder, operator, or early-stage startup leader in a relevant ecosystem (venture studio, accelerator, VC, or innovation hub) is highly beneficial.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive entrepreneurship and the empowerment of underrepresented founders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small, mission-driven team, with comfort in ambiguity and a hands-on approach to building new initiatives.
  • Availability to be regularly present in London for events, meetings, and community activities, with readiness to work some evenings or weekends when needed.
