About the job
Web Developer | Permanent | Exeter (Hybrid) Our client is looking for a Web Developer to join their engineering team, working on new features, bug fixes and ongoing improvements to web-based products. Ideally suited to someone with around 2–5 years' development experience, you'll have experience in either PHP or Python and enjoy working collaboratively in an Agile environment. Key skills:
- PHP or Python – experience with either is essential
- PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony or CodeIgniter, or Python frameworks such as Django, Flask or FastAPI
- SQL and relational databases, including MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Git and version control
- REST APIs, JSON and web technologies (HTML, CSS and JavaScript)
- Testing, debugging and code reviews
- Understanding of secure, high-quality software development practices The details:
- Permanent position
- Hybrid working, with just 1 day per week onsite in Exeter
