Senior C++ Developer

Our client is seeking an experienced Software Developer to join a Front Office team responsible for designing and developing prediction market trading systems. The successful candidate will work closely with traders and technologists to enhance trading capabilities by delivering innovative, scalable and stable systems. The role offers the opportunity to have a direct impact on a successful trading desk, working closely with traders to propose new ideas, gather requirements and deliver additional functionality through short development cycles. Beyond software development, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to propose and investigate new technologies to help the organisation maintain its competitive edge. Our client is looking for an experienced C++ Developer with a strong background in performance optimisation and latency reduction. Role

• Execute on ideas quickly and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Drive innovation and continuously explore opportunities for improvement.
• Take ownership of the full technical stack, with a focus on building stable, scalable and highly optimised systems while minimising risk.
• Design, develop and maintain P&L reporting systems.
• Maintain and enhance existing prediction strategies.
• Research and evaluate new technologies to identify optimal solutions.
• Apply strong object-oriented programming principles and practices.
• Work closely with traders and other technology teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline, or an equivalent international qualification.
• 5+ years of progressive experience developing software applications.
• Experience with C++, ideally in performance-critical or low-latency environments.
• Strong understanding of performance optimisation and latency reduction methodologies.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Familiarity with financial markets or prediction markets would be advantageous.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with software developers, traders, quantitative researchers and infrastructure teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a genuine interest in innovation and emerging technologies.
