Logistics Operations Coordinator

We are recruiting for a Logistics Operations Coordinator to join an established and forward-thinking logistics company in St Albans. The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role. • Up to £40k depending on experience.
• Monday to Friday Saturday morning every 4 weeks 08.30 – 11.00), office based – no hybrid working.

• Free parking Key Responsibilities
• Organising the movement of freight across Europe and the UK
• Communicating accurately in written and verbal form complex instructions to both Customers and Suppliers
• Negotiating with both Customers and Suppliers to achieve most cost-effective solution.
• Providing the highest standards of Customer Service
• Processing Customer orders with an emphasis on attention to detail
• Compiling customs documentation to facilitate shipment of freight in to and from Europe
• Building very strong relationships with clients, principally through verbal engagement What The Employer Is Looking For
• Ideally experience of logistics and supply chain management, either from working with a manufacturer, transport company or freight forwarder
• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
• A professional, positive and helpful attitude
• Commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate directly with clients and suppliers and identify and exploit opportunities to increase both turnover and more importantly profit
• Presentable, energetic and enthusiastic
