Operations Coordinator

Supporting the Operations Controllers, this role plays a key part in a fast-paced and growing ro-ro operation serving customers moving cargo into and out of mainland Europe through the ports of Zeebrugge and Rotterdam. Working closely with internal teams, customers and operational stakeholders, you will help ensure units are coordinated effectively, vessels remain on schedule and health and safety standards are maintained.

Key responsibilities and duties:

• Maintain a strong focus on health and safety across day-to-day port operations.

• Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers and external stakeholders.

• Support damage control processes, ensuring issues are recorded, escalated and managed appropriately.

• Coordinate customer units efficiently to support smooth vessel and terminal operations.

• Help keep vessels to schedule by supporting operational planning and responding quickly to changing priorities.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience using MS Office, email and Microsoft Teams.

• Be confident using IT systems and able to learn new systems quickly.

• Be comfortable liaising with customers and providing clear, professional communication.

• Hold a full UK driving licence, which is essential for the role.

• Be flexible and willing to work shifts in line with operational needs.

Desirable:

• Previous logistics or shipping experience.

• Customs clearance experience.

• IOSH qualification or awareness.
