Childcare Level 3 Apprentice

Are you passionate about giving children the best start in life? This family run nursery are always on the lookout for caring, committed and enthusiastic individuals to join their friendly team. Your role will be supporting children aged 9 months to 5 years. You will also be a key person to a small group of children, making learning fun.

What you'll do

• To act as a key person to a group of children,liasiing closely and building an effective relationship with parents/carers and ensuring each chilld's needs are recognised and met.
• To work in partnership with parents/carers and other family members.
• To advise the manager of any concerns e.g. health and well-being of children, parents or the safety of equipment, preserving confidentiality as necessary.
• To teach children, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulating play experiences.
• To ensure that children are kept safe and that you understand when to follow child protection procedures.
• To actively participate in team meetings, supervision meetings and appraisal meetings.
• To attend training courses as required and to take responsibility for personal development.

About the employer

Daffodils are a private family business established in 1995 by Sibtain and Shabnam Raza who has over 30 years of childcare experience. Shabnam completed her N.N.E.B in childcare in 1985 whilst working as a practitioner in an established nursery in Streatham. She then went on to work as a manager before starting Daffodils in 1995. Daffodils started as a 10 place day nursery on Norbury Crescent before it was extended to its current size.

Apprenticeship details

• Course: Early years educator (level 3), Education and early years
• Apprenticeship level: Advanced (level 3)
• Training provider: NORTH WALES TRAINING LTD.
• Expected duration: 1 Year 6 Months
• Hours: 39 hours a week. Working week: Monday to Friday. Working 4.5 days a week with study time.
