Childcare Level 3 Apprentice

Are you a dynamic individual with a passion for learning about early years? This nursery is looking for someone to join their friendly team. Your role will be supporting children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. You will also be a key person to a small group of children, making learning fun and liaising closely with parents/carers.

What you'll do

• To act as a key person to a group of children, liaising closely and building an effective relationship with parents/carers and ensuring each child's needs are recognised and met
• To work in partnership with parents/carers and other family members
• To advise the manager of any concerns e.g. the health and well-being of children, parents or the safety of equipment, preserving confidentiality as necessary
• To teach children, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulating play experiences
• To ensure that children are kept safe and that you understand when to follow child protection procedures
• To actively participate in team meetings, supervision meetings and appraisal meetings
• To attend training courses as required and to take responsibility for personal development

Training

• Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
• Training will include paediatric first aid qualification
• Training will be done at location

About the employer

First Steps Nursery is a purpose built nursery with seven age-specific rooms and a Baby room, Tweenies rooms, Teeny Tinies room, Tinies room, Pre School room, Pre School 1 room and a Pre School 2 room. As well as these rooms, we also have a libray full of age appropriate books and familiar favourites.
