Early Years Apprentice

Are you looking to train in childcare? A friendly nursery in Chandlers Ford is looking for a Level 3 Early Years Apprentice to join the team. You will work and interact directly with children on a day-to-day basis, supporting the planning of and delivery of activities.

What you'll do

• Creating warm, friendly, and stimulating atmosphere in which the children can develop emotionally, socially and educationally
• Under supervision you will provide all aspects of care for children including washing, changing and feeding
• Acting as key worker to a small group of children and recording observations and planning for them
• Assisting with meeting the personal and emotional needs of individual children
• Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Being aware of the nurseries policies and procedures and ensure they are adhered to
• Completing all work to desired timescales as set by Showcase tutor

Training

• Level 3 Standard for the Early Years Educator
• Functional Skills: Maths and English (unless exempt)
• Paediatric First Aid

Training completed via work-based visits at the nursery and 4-hour study time provided for coursework.

After the apprenticeship

Once completing your Level 3 Apprenticeship you may be offered a full-time position and further training.

About the employer

Little 1 Nursery is an exceptional day nursery set in a third of an acre in the heart of Chandlers Ford. The building is an extended bungalow with a large garden for children aged 3 months to school age.

Chandlers Ford has recently undergone large extensions and refurbishment.

Apprenticeship details

• Course: Early years educator (level 3), Education and early years
• Apprenticeship level: Advanced (level 3)
• Training provider: SHOWCASE TRAINING LTD
• Expected duration: 1 Year 6 Months
• Hours: 40 hours a week. Working week: 40-hours paid per week. Monday to Friday. Shifts to be confirmed.
• Start date: 9 November 2026
• Positions available: 1
• Wage: £16,640 a year
