Nursery Nurse Apprentice

Immediate start for a Level 3 Childcare apprentice to join our small and friendly busy nursery in Prestwich. You will be involved in planning and delivering high-quality care to our children and maintaining our very high standards, on completion of a successful DBS. You must hold a Level 2 qualification in Early Years to apply.

Training

Early Years Educator Level 3 Standard.

This is a work-based qualification with college attendance one day a month.

After the apprenticeship

On completion of the apprenticeship, you may be offered a full-time position.

About the employer

Rookwood is a beautiful Grade II listed building (1881) comprising of the Baby Unit, Tweeny Unit & Nursery. The new building was completed in 2001 for 3-5 year olds (Academy) & Before & After School Club & Holiday Club.

Rookwood Nursery is registered from birth to five years & is a family run business.

Rookwood is set in large grounds in the residential area of Prestwich. Close to the local primary schools, main roads into Manchester, Bury & the M60 ring road.

Apprenticeship details

• Course: Early years educator (level 3), Education and early years
• Apprenticeship level: Advanced (level 3)
• Training provider: BURY COLLEGE
• Expected duration: 1 Year 4 Months
• Hours: 40 hours a week. Working week: Monday to Friday, between the hours of 7.00am - 6.00pm.
• Start date: 23 November 2026

• Wage: £16,640 a year
