Childcare Apprentice

Cheeky Monkeys Day Nursery are looking for an energetic Nursery Apprentice to join the team, supporting to provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment to the children we care for.

What you'll do

At Cheeky Monkey's Day Nursery you will be working towards the Early Years Practitioner Level 2 apprenticeship over the duration of 15 months alongside your daily roles and responsibilities.

This role is advertised for a Level 2 apprenticeship programme, however for applicants that have previous experience or already hold a Level 2 qualification, a Level 3 apprenticeship programme will be considered.

Your roles and responsibilities include:

• Providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment
• To help deliver an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress
• To help ensure the preschool nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times
• To understand and work to nursery policies and procedures
• To be a key person
• To ensure records are properly maintained, e.g. daily attendance register, accident and incident book, risk assessments
• To liaise closely with parents/carers, informing them about the nursery and its curriculum, exchanging information about children's progress and encouraging parents' involvement
• To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed, in accordance with the nursery aims and objectives

Training

Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship Level 2, including Functional Skills in Maths and English.

After the apprenticeship

Full time permanent role within the nursery and career progression.

• Hours: 37.5 hours a week. Working week: Monday to Friday. Shifts to be confirmed.

• Wage: £21,158 a year
