Apprentice Nursery Nurse

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Apprentice Nursery Nurse to join our team at Little Angels Day Nursery in Tilbury. You will gain hands-on experience supporting children's care, learning and development while working towards a recognised Early Years qualification. Full training and support will be provided.

What you'll do

The apprentice will work alongside experienced nursery staff to support the care, learning and development of children. Duties will include helping with activities, play and daily routines, supporting mealtimes and personal care, observing children's development, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment and building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.

After the apprenticeship

Following successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be an opportunity to progress into a permanent Nursery Nurse/Early Years Practitioner role within Little Angels Day Nursery, with further opportunities for training and career development.

Things to consider

Applicants should have a genuine interest in working with children, be reliable, punctual and willing to learn. The successful applicant will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check and follow the nursery's safeguarding policies and procedures.

• Course: Early years educator (level 3), Education and early years
• Apprenticeship level: Advanced (level 3)
• Training provider: TRAINPLUS LTD
• Expected duration: 1 Year 6 Months
• Hours: 30 hours a week. Working week: Monday to Friday. Shifts to be confirmed.
• Start date: 1 November 2026
• Positions available: 2
• Wage: £12,480 a year
