What you'll do

Duties

• Assist in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote children's development
• Supervise children during playtime, meals, and other activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive nursery environment
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the nursery space, including toys and equipment
• Support children in developing basic skills such as sharing, communication, and self-care
• Drive initiatives that encourage children's creativity and curiosity through play-based learning

After the apprenticeship

Once qualified, you can commence a career in nurseries or schools. You could undertake further qualifications for leadership roles.

Apprenticeship details

• Course: Early years educator (level 3), Education and early years
• Apprenticeship level: Advanced (level 3)
• Training provider: THE OPPORTUNITY PROVIDER LTD
• Expected duration: 1 Year 6 Months
• Hours: 40 hours a week. Working week: Monday to Friday, eight hours per day, with an hour for lunch. Between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm.
• Start date: 15 November 2026
• Positions available: 1
• Wage: £16,640 to £26,436.80 a year
