Assistant Accountant Apprentice

To support the day-to-day running of the accounts function, ensuring financial records are accurate, up to date and well organised.

What you'll do

• Processing supplier and customer invoices accurately and efficiently
• Matching invoices to supporting documentation and resolving discrepancies
• Carrying out supplier statement reconciliations
• Preparing and processing supplier payments
• Allocating customer and supplier payments accurately
• Maintaining accurate accounting records
• Filing and maintaining financial documentation, both electronically and physically
• Assisting with customer and supplier account queries
• Supporting the Finance Manager with general day-to-day accounting duties
• Ensuring all financial information is processed accurately and within agreed timescales

Training

You will work towards the Assistant Accountant apprenticeship standard, with training delivered by Solveway alongside your role.

After the apprenticeship
