Fire & Security Project Manager 📍 Cardiff 💰£40,000 - £50,000 🕒 Permanent | Full-Time ➕ Company Vehicle + Benefits Package The Role We're looking for an experienced Fire & Security Projects Manager to join a growing team, overseeing the successful delivery of fire and security installation projects, system upgrades and small works across commercial and occupied sites. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical background in fire and security who is ready to take ownership of projects from initial planning through to installation, commissioning and handover. You'll be responsible for coordinating engineers, managing subcontractors, maintaining project schedules and budgets, and ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards. What You'll Be Doing

• Managing fire and security installation projects from start to completion
• Planning and coordinating labour, materials, equipment and subcontractors
• Overseeing fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control installations
• Managing project programmes, deadlines and resource allocation
• Liaising with clients, consultants, main contractors and internal teams
• Carrying out site visits to monitor progress, quality and health and safety compliance
• Managing project costs, budgets, variations and additional works
• Ensuring installations meet relevant British Standards, specifications and client requirements
• Coordinating testing, commissioning, snagging and final handover
• Monitoring project performance and resolving technical or operational issues
• Preparing project documentation, progress reports and handover packs
• Supporting engineers with technical queries and installation challenges
• Managing multiple projects simultaneously, including small works and larger installations
• Building strong relationships with clients and identifying opportunities for additional works What We're Looking For
• 3+ years' experience within the fire and security industry
• Previous experience managing fire and security projects, or working in a senior supervisory role
• Strong technical knowledge of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control
• Experience delivering commercial installation projects
• Good understanding of project planning, scheduling and resource management
• Ability to manage budgets, costs and project variations
• Confident communicating with clients, engineers, subcontractors and contractors
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and project delivery
• Good understanding of relevant British Standards and industry regulations
• Full UK driving licence Desirable
• FIA qualifications or relevant fire alarm training
• Knowledge of BS 5839 and other applicable fire and security standards
• Experience with integrated security systems and network-based technologies
• Experience working with main contractors on commercial construction projects
• Familiarity with project management software and Microsoft Office
• Experience managing projects from tender stage through to completion
• Relevant project management qualifications, such as PRINCE2 or APM What's On Offer
