Seatfrog

About The Company Technology has revolutionised the world we live in, yet somehow the rail industry has stayed much the same as it was 30 years ago. Seatfrog is here to change that. We're on a mission to build a better future for billions of passengers and the rail companies that carry them. We've already reinvented how upgrading your seat is done - now affordable and lightning fast to over 870 destinations - and enabled customers to effortlessly swap between train journeys. But we're not stopping there! We're on our way to becoming the ultimate travel companion and the only app you'll ever need when travelling by rail in the UK and beyond. We're building a stellar team to achieve our audacious goals. We strive to create an environment where you can do your best work. Join us, and you'll be challenged and supported in equal measure. Ours is a culture with spirit and substance and our people are empowered to make the bold decisions others wouldn't and haven't. Mission Make our Intelligence platform the most capable revenue system in ground transport. Currently it hunts incremental revenue operators never knew existed, prices it based on billions of data points, and wins more, happier customers. But it is built for far more: after pilot in 2026, we're now launching our "one intelligence" system behind the billions of door-to-door journeys made every year, and everyone who depends on them - the system that hunts value for partners unlike anything else before. What We're Looking For The bar for this role is extremely high. We are a mid sized, senior team that orchestrates technology rather than a large one that manages it, and every seat is an A-player seat. Everyone here builds: we get on the tools, prototype with agents, and ship working product ourselves before anyone writes a brief. We are looking for someone with proven experience building intelligence systems that changed how a business makes decisions. We respect your time, so we'll be direct. If you can't point to a decision system you shipped - and tell us what moved because of it - this isn't the role for you and you won't get to the screener stage, so we'd rather say that now. If you're still reading, every line below comes with the proof we'll ask for in the interview. About The Role Seatfrog has spent nine years teaching machines what passengers will pay for more. More room. More time. More certainty. Every decision a passenger makes across the network - billions of data points - feeds an engine with a closed loop of intelligence on every transaction. It sets the price, sells the product and learns. This is significantly more than forecasting tools. We don't say this lightly - on top of it we have built some of the most capable intelligence systems on the planet that are driving enormous gains and uncovering opportunity people never knew existed: models that know what a product will sell for before it is released, where demand will form and for what, and where the next pound of revenue is hiding in a network of billions of journeys a year. Now we are hunting for someone to lead this product strategy and its expansion. Seatfrog Intelligence is that system and it has huge impact potential. Commercial teams at operators open it daily: what happened, in seconds; what to do next; then do it. Where is demand forming? Which seats are sold too cheaply, and which not at all? Where is capacity wasted? What would move the network this week, and by how much? It hunts those opportunities at a scale, and puts the decision in front of the right person with the evidence attached. We are the operators' partner. We are hugely motivated to win only when they win, and every product we run is built to put incremental revenue and more passengers on their networks. The same system also powers the platforms our passengers book and travel through. Intelligence drives their growth too - and every partner that grows puts more passengers on the operators' trains. We are investing heavily to make it the tool every commercial team in ground transport opens first: in the UK, across Europe, and beyond. You own that product strategy and its expansion. You work closely with our VP of product on strategy, our ML and revenue teams, who are accountable for the revenue numbers across the network, and with our partners, whose growth you build into the roadmap. You are accountable for the tool they all trust to hit their numbers and delight their customers. That means understanding a revenue manager's Tuesday morning better than they do, shipping real product in a constant cycle faster than anyone else, and expanding a product that has the real potential to shift categories, into new segments across the entire supply chain that relies on ground transport. This is not a sales role, not a project management role and not a data licensing role. It is the product strategy and ownership seat at the centre of Seatfrog's enterprise intelligence business. What You'll Own Intelligence - the system that powers decisions for our partners. It hunts through billions of journeys for answers in seconds, shows where the opportunity is, then hands partners the controls to act: capacity, allocation, pricing, audiences, what goes on sale, when, and much more. Pricing and capacity intelligence - the engine room. The models that set every price on the network, decide what capacity to release and when, and know what a product will sell for before it goes on sale. You own the product our ML and revenue teams run that machine through: the surfaces, the rules, and the intelligence that turns billions of passenger decisions into the right price in the right moment. The Intelligence roadmap - what we build next, for whom, and why. Which partner problems we take on, which segments we move into, in what order, and the proof that earns each one a place. Partner adoption and trust - Intelligence commercial teams trust every day, act on what it tells them, and bring the next partner with them. You take that to every partner across travel that depends on the journey. What You'll Do

  • Set the strategy. Own the vision for Intelligence with the VP product, and the plan that gets there: the problems worth solving, the order we solve them, and the proof each one needs. Defend it to the VP product, the CEO, leadership and the Board.
  • Own the voice of the customer. Live with partners' commercial teams: revenue managers, commercial directors, control rooms, frontline. Run the insight programme that surfaces their biggest problems, ranks them by what they cost, and turns them into the next thing we build. Know every commercial team's top three problems by name.
  • Build AI-native. Our agentic layer is yours to use and extend: ML models, agents and shared memory across every system we run. Use it to do the BAU 80% of your job, then get on the tools and build the next 20% yourself - prototypes, pipelines, working product - alongside our tech teams. You design for that from day one.
  • Turn insight into action. Move Intelligence from "what happened" to "what should we do" to "done": decisions partners act on without a Seatfrog analyst in the room, with a human deciding what matters.
  • Run the pricing and capacity engine as a product. With the revenue and ML teams, decide what the system optimises for, where it needs human judgement, and how we prove every change moved the number.
  • Expand the platform. Partners are asking for us to help them with more and more every day. Decide which we take on, prove the first with one partner, and turn it into something 20 others can use.
  • Build the partner ecosystem. Make Intelligence the system the platforms our passengers book through run on as well, so every partner that grows puts more passengers on the network.
  • Make it a business. Define how Intelligence is packaged for new segments, what each tier has to prove, and how it earns expansion. Work with Customer Success so the value is visible at every review.
  • Lead across the company. ML, data, engineering, revenue, customer success. Set the agenda, make the trade offs explicit, and get the room to a decision. You carry the product view into every commercial and partner conversation.
  • Know the numbers cold. Adoption per partner, decisions taken in the tool, yield moved, revenue earned. If the Board pack says it, you k What We're Looking For he bar for this role is extremely high. If you're still reading, every line below comes with the proof we'll ask for in the interview. Must Haves:
  • AI-native, not AI-aware - this is how you work and how you build. You get on the tools and create: prototypes, pipelines, pull data, build commercial models, build working product, without waiting for a ticket or a team. Our stack is agentic end to end - ML models, an agent layer and shared memory across every system we run - and you'll make it do things we haven't tried yet.
  • Shipped a decision or intelligence product that changed how people makes decisions - supply, demand, pricing, operational, planning etc
  • Got a sceptical enterprise customer to trust an automated recommendation
  • Ran an experiment programme at scale, not one-off tests
  • Commercially fluent - owned a number, presented to exec level, shaped a contract term
  • Technically fluent - can argue with an ML engineer about a model and with an engineer about what's buildable, and be right sometimes
  • 0-to-1 in a regulated or operationally complex category - transport, energy, logistics, health, finance etc
  • Leads without waiting to be asked. We don't require rail experience at all. We require that you can learn the domain in a fortnight and speak to a revenue manager as a peer within a month. Nice to have
  • Rail, airline, hospitality or mobility revenue management exposure
  • Experience selling or expanding a data or analytics product
  • Familiarity with GDPR and data governance in a commercial context
  • Snowflake, dbt, or an equivalent modern data stack How We Work
  • Problem to unblocked in under an hour. Talk to the three people closest to the problem, same day. No workshops. No written brief unless the brief is the product.
  • Automate the boring 80%. Wireframes, baseline content, data prep and reports are busy work until proven otherwise. Humans own taste, judgement and the call.
  • v0 in two days. Longer means the problem isn't understood or the scope hasn't been cut.
  • Ship, then let the user judge. Proof over plans.
  • Done means impact, not launch.
  • Attitude is the filter. Driven, entrepreneurial, says "100%" and then delivers early. Measured on: weekly active commercial users per partner, decisions taken in-tool, zero-bid auction rate (shared with the Head of Yield), and the first paid Intelligence line. Not measured on: hours, tickets, documents. Benefits Benefits
  • 4-day work week
  • Equity
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • Health insurance
  • Workplace nursery scheme
  • EV leasing and Cycle to Work
  • Remote-first, with monthly team meet-ups around the UK and an office near Liverpool Street At Seatfrog, we consider diversity a strength - inclusion fuels our ability to solve problems we never thought we could. Your application will be considered on its merits, without regard to your race, age, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability status or anything else. If there is anything we need to know to enable you to fully participate in our interview process, please just let us know in your application. The process
  • Application - 3 role-related questions to answer at application stage
  • 30 min screener - People team. Your story, our story, your capability fit.
  • 60 min deep dive - VP Product. Your experience and your fit to the role. We'll go three questions deeper than you expect.
  • 120 min working session - First half: a take-home task on real Seatfrog data, presented to a panel. Second half: an open session to workshop a roadmap of ideas with the team this role will work with.
  • 45 min final - Iain (CEO, co-founder) + Dirk (CTO, co-founder). Purely about value alignment and cultural fit
