Java Software Engineer

You will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, product owners, quality assurance specialists, and DevOps teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing microservices and API-based solutions. • Lead the design and development of enterprise Java applications, microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven integrations
• Translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions
• Champion engineering standards through code reviews, automated testing, performance tuning, and secure development practices
• Support CI/CD pipelines, application deployments, production troubleshooting, and service improvements
• Collaborate across Agile teams while mentoring developers and providing technical leadership on complex initiatives Mandatory Skills You will have a strong understanding of:
• Core Java, Java 8 or later, J2EE, multithreading, concurrency, collections, JDBC, object-oriented design, and design patterns
• Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Core, Spring Data, Hibernate, REST APIs, microservices, and SOAP web services
• Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, Kafka, MQ messaging, and event-driven architecture
• Git or Bitbucket, Maven or Gradle, Jenkins, SonarQube, and CI/CD pipelines
• JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, Linux or Unix, and application servers such as Tomcat or JBoss Desirable Skills Ideally, you will be familiar with:
• Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift
• AWS or other cloud-native platforms
• API security technologies, including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and mutual TLS
• MongoDB or Cassandra
• Banking, payments, ACH, treasury, cash management, or financial services platforms Experience working within Agile or Scrum delivery environments and distributed delivery models would also be beneficial.
