Build the technology that proves whether marketing actually works. What if brands could measure the real impact of their marketing campaigns, rather than relying on likes, views and engagement figures? We're working with an ambitious, data-led technology business that's changing how some of the world's most recognisable brands understand consumer behaviour. Its platform helps global brands and leading agencies measure how campaigns influence brand awareness, consideration and purchase intent — and, crucially, understand why certain campaigns work. The business works with major names across technology, retail and consumer goods, and is building sophisticated products at the intersection of data, analytics and marketing intelligence. Now, they're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to play a pivotal role in the next stage of their technical evolution. The opportunity This is a chance to join a small engineering team where your contribution will be felt across the entire product. You'll work across a TypeScript-based stack, leaning towards backend engineering, building the systems that turn complex datasets into meaningful, actionable insights for customers. This isn't a role where you'll simply pick up tickets and implement someone else's decisions. You'll have a genuine voice in how the platform evolves, how technical problems are approached and how engineering decisions translate into a better product. With a lean team and plenty still to build, the opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, thinking beyond the immediate task and taking ownership from initial idea through to production. What you'll be working on

  • Building data-driven products: Developing backend services and APIs that power analytics, insights and customer-facing reporting.
  • Turning data into intelligence: Working with complex datasets and measurement methodologies to deliver reliable, meaningful insights that customers can act on.
  • Owning the full stack: Contributing across Node.js and TypeScript services, alongside React or Angular applications, with a natural emphasis on backend systems.
  • Making architectural decisions: Helping shape system design, scalability, maintainability and the technical direction of the platform.
  • Working closely with the business: Partnering with founders, engineers and commercial stakeholders to understand customer problems and build solutions that deliver tangible value.
  • Raising the engineering bar: Sharing knowledge, mentoring less experienced engineers and helping establish strong technical practices as the team grows. What we're looking for We're interested in engineers who combine strong technical fundamentals with the judgement to know what makes a product successful. You'll ideally bring:
  • Strong commercial experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
  • Full-stack experience, with React or Angular on the frontend and a preference for backend-heavy work.
  • Experience designing and building APIs, backend services and data-intensive applications.
  • A solid understanding of system design, data modelling and the trade-offs involved in building maintainable software.
  • A product mindset: you understand that good engineering is about solving customer problems, not just writing good code.
  • The confidence to operate autonomously in a small team, navigate ambiguity and take responsibility for outcomes.
  • A willingness to get hands-on, challenge assumptions constructively and support the development of other engineers. You'll thrive here if you enjoy environments where the problems aren't always neatly defined, decisions carry real weight and you can see the direct impact of your work. Why consider it?
  • Up to £110,000 salary.
  • A genuinely influential role in a small, ambitious engineering team.
  • The opportunity to work on data-intensive products used by major global brands and agencies.
  • Direct access to founders and meaningful input into product and technical strategy.
  • Scope to develop your leadership capabilities as the engineering team evolves, alongside continued hands-on technical work.
  • A collaborative, in-person environment in Old Street, London, with three days in the office (Tuesday–Thursday). This is an opportunity for a strong engineer who wants more than another role maintaining an established product. Interested? Get in touch for a confidential conversation.
