Partnerships Development
at Cancer Care ParcelPartnerships Development (Volunteer) Cancer Care Parcel | Remote | Unpaid volunteer position | Approximately 5–10 hours per week About Cancer Care Parcel Cancer Care Parcel helps people affected by cancer feel supported, seen and cared for beyond their medical treatment. Through thoughtfully curated care packages, community initiatives and wellbeing support, we aim to make the experience of living with cancer and caring for someone with cancer a little less isolating. We're growing our network of partnerships across the cancer support, wellbeing, healthcare and corporate sectors, and we're looking for someone who can help us build meaningful relationships that expand our reach and impact. About the role This is a hands-on volunteering opportunity for someone who enjoys connecting people, opening doors and turning ideas into action. As our Partnerships Development Lead, you'll help identify potential partners, research the right people to approach, develop professional partnership materials and initiate conversations with organisations that share our vision. You'll represent Cancer Care Parcel externally, helping us build relationships with charities, healthcare and wellbeing providers, corporate organisations, service providers and other potential collaborators. You'll work closely with our leadership team and have the opportunity to contribute directly to the development of our partnership strategy. What you'll be doing
- Researching partnership opportunities: Identify relevant organisations, map potential opportunities and find the right decision-makers and points of contact.
- Building relationships: Reach out to prospective partners through email, LinkedIn, telephone and other appropriate channels, including cold outreach.
- Developing partnership materials: Create and refine professional pitch decks, proposals, partnership briefs and other commercial documents using Canva.
- Supporting partnership development: Help shape outreach approaches, prepare for meetings, follow up on conversations and move promising opportunities forward.
- Representing Cancer Care Parcel: Communicate our mission, services and partnership opportunities clearly and professionally to external stakeholders.
- Maintaining a partnership pipeline: Keep track of prospects, conversations, follow-ups and next steps using our agreed tracking tools.
- Spotting opportunities: Identify potential collaborations, joint campaigns, events, referrals and other ways to create mutual value.
- Working collaboratively: Share insights, progress and recommendations with the leadership team and help improve our approach as we grow. What we're looking for
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to approach new people and organisations.
- Experience in partnerships, business development, sales, stakeholder engagement, account management or a related area.
- Practical Canva skills and the ability to produce polished, professional presentations and documents.
- Strong research skills, including identifying relevant organisations, decision-makers and contact details.
- Confidence with cold outreach, follow-ups and initiating conversations with people you haven't met before.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple prospects and follow-ups independently.
- A proactive, resourceful approach. You're comfortable taking initiative, working remotely and turning broad objectives into practical next steps.
- An understanding of professional relationship-building: you know how to communicate value, build trust and avoid a one-size-fits-all approach.
- An interest in cancer support, wellbeing, healthcare, social impact or purpose-driven business.
- Experience working with charities, healthcare providers, corporate partners or wellbeing organisations would be particularly valuable. Time commitment and working arrangements This is an unpaid volunteer position. The role is remote, with flexibility around when you contribute, agreed in advance with the team. We're looking for someone who can contribute consistently and communicate openly about their availability. The role offers an opportunity to apply your professional skills to a meaningful cause, develop your experience in strategic partnerships and contribute to the growth of an organisation supporting people affected by cancer. Interested? Please apply through LinkedIn and answer the screening questions so we can understand your experience, skills and availability.
