Senior IT Engineer

, Work with Core Engineering and Support teams to deliver secure, reliable infrastructure, networking, server, endpoint, and data services. The role supports Head Office, stores, warehouse operations, third-party vendors, and technology projects, with a focus on resolving security gaps, maintaining core systems, and ensuring stable service delivery across 90+ retail stores, 140 users in HO, and a large warehouse team., What we are offering you,

• Deliver infrastructure, network, security, and data initiatives aligned to the organisation's technology strategy.
• Administer, maintain, and secure core server, network, cloud, endpoint, backup, storage, and VOIP platforms.
• Implement, troubleshoot, optimise, and harden infrastructure solutions across Head Office, stores, and warehouse environments.
• Support infrastructure projects and deployments, ensuring solutions meet business, ITIL, and cybersecurity requirements.
• Monitor performance, resolve incidents and service requests, and address vulnerabilities to minimise risk and disruption.
• Maintain technical documentation covering infrastructure configurations, controls, and operational procedures.
• Engage vendors and service providers to support operational needs and project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and promote infrastructure and security best practice., What we are looking for, Requirements
• 6+ years' experience in IT infrastructure, security, and support.
• BTEC HNC/D or equivalent in Computing/IT or related subject preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco Meraki and Fortinet network equipment, including switches, access points, routers, and firewalls.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows desktop, and Windows Server environments.
• Hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V, endpoint protection, patching, and secure configuration.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL, FTP servers, FTP applications, and secure data handling.
• Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, documentation, and communication skills.
• Proactive, collaborative, detail-focused approach with a track record of improving processes and reducing security risk.
