Assistant Site Manager

The Opportunity We are working on behalf of a well-established residential developer looking to appoint an Assistant Site Manager to join their team on an exciting residential development in the Bristol area. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious construction professional looking to further their career within residential housebuilding, working alongside an experienced site team to deliver high-quality new homes. We are keen to speak with candidates who have experience working on residential developments, with a background in either traditional build or RC frame construction. The Role As Assistant Site Manager, you will support the day-to-day management of the development, helping to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Site Manager with the daily running of the development.
• Coordinating subcontractors and monitoring progress against the construction programme.
• Ensuring all works are completed in line with health and safety requirements.
• Carrying out regular site inspections to maintain build quality and identify any issues.
• Monitoring workmanship and ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and building regulations.
• Assisting with site meetings, progress reporting and programme updates.
• Helping to resolve on-site issues and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors and the wider project team.
• Ensuring the site is maintained to a safe, organised and professional standard. About You
• Previous experience in an Assistant Site Manager or similar supervisory role.
• Experience within residential construction or housebuilding.
• A background in traditional build or RC frame construction.
• A good understanding of construction processes, health and safety and quality control.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive attitude with the ambition to develop and progress within the industry.
• Relevant construction qualifications, with SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid desirable.
