Platform Engineer

Location: Reading, Berkshire (Hybrid) We're seeking a skilled Platform Engineer to join a growing platform team responsible for maintaining, improving and scaling a cloud-based platform. This role would suit someone with a background in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE or Linux Systems Administration who enjoys solving complex infrastructure problems and working across cloud, Kubernetes and networking environments. Key Responsibilities

• Support cloud infrastructure and platform services.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking and platform issues.
• Manage Kubernetes environments and containerised workloads.
• Automate deployments and infrastructure.
• Support Linux systems and platform improvements.
• Work with engineering teams to deliver reliable services.
• Assist with incident resolution and continuous improvement. Skills & Experience
• DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE or Linux administration background.
• Strong networking and troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience.
• Linux administration experience.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and infrastructure.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Helm or similar tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools. Desirable
• Kubernetes networking and security experience.
• Knowledge of TLS/SSL, SSH and VPNs.
• Experience supporting SaaS or cloud-native environments.
