Staff Platform Engineer, Developer Experience and AI

Senior Platform Engineer, Developer Experience & AI (AWS, TypeScript/Python) Central London (Hybrid, 3 days in office) £110k - £145k + Equity Our client ships around 350 changes a week. The plan is to take that into the thousands, with most code written by AI agents and engineers steering. They're building the platform that makes that possible, and they want hands-on engineers to build it with them 🚀 About the company A fast-growing, AI-native B2B software scale-up in London, building agentic products for enterprise teams. Engineering is scaling hard over the next year, and the Platform team sits right at the centre of how the whole org ships. One role, two flavours The team is hiring more than one Platform Engineer, and the role can lean whichever way fits your strengths: 🤖 AI Developer Experience: building coding agents that take work from a brief to a merged PR, a central codebase-aware platform that gives every agent the right context, and the controls that keep token spend and output quality in check. ⚙️ Developer Experience & CI/CD: moving to a monorepo, building independent pipelines and ephemeral environments, and making the path from commit to production fast and reliable enough for 1,000 releases a day. Most people will have a natural home in one and an interest in the other. That's exactly what they're after. What you'll do

• Own and ship major pieces of the platform end to end
• Build tooling that engineers (and agents) use every single day
• Measure what you build: build times, deploy frequency, agent success rates, cost
• Work closely with product engineers to find what's slowing them down and fix it What we're looking for
• Strong engineer in TypeScript or Python, ideally from a product engineering background
• You've built tools other engineers rely on, whether that's AI tooling, CI/CD or developer platforms
• Experience on AWS (serverless, Lambda or EventBridge is a real plus; EKS is fine too)
• Comfortable with AI coding tools and genuinely excited about where they're taking engineering
• You'd rather ship something useful this week than write a strategy doc about it Nice to have
• Experience with MCP, agent frameworks or RAG over large codebases
• A monorepo migration, build caching or test parallelisation under your belt The practical bits 💰 Top tier salary for London, in line with tier one fintech and AI.
